Born on April 22, 1992, in the west of Burundi, he is a novelist, english teacher, journalist, and blogger. He has worked as a volunteer at Nderagakura Radio and Yaga blogger’s platform. He was passionate about writing from a very young age. In 2011, still a pupil at Secondary School, he took part in the 9th edition of EAC Student’s Essay Writing Competition and was chosen among hundreds of competitors to receive a Certificate of Merit for his essay. In 2018, He demonstrated talent for literary creation when he was a student at the university of Burundi. He was awarded for his short story “La soirée dansante”, in the Rumuri Literary Prize, the only framework of talent revelation and creative writing encouragement in public and private universities in Burundi. In 2020, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the university of Burundi,Institute for applied pedagogy in the english department. Besides his passion for literature, Alain Pascal Niyonzima is fond of classical music, he grew up listening to it on the Radio of his father.
