He born 20th Feb. 1966, served as a secondary school teacher from 1989 in Uganda until 1994 when he returned to his homeland. In Rwanda, he became headmaster of Nyamata High School until 1996 when he joined the Ministry of Youth and Culture, heading a division of Youth cooperation. In 1999, he was elected Chairman of the Rwandan National Youth Council and in January 2001, he became a Member of Parliament, representing the Rwandan youth until the end of transitional government in August 2003. John Rusimbi is a writer and author of two novels: By The Time She Returned published in May 1999 and The Hyena’s Wedding published in October 2007 by Janus Publishing Company in London. He is also a post-columnist for The African Voice newspaper that is based in Ireland to promote African values in Europe. He has also a batch of web publications on multi-country Demobilization and Reintegration Program (MDRP). He has graduated with Diplomas in Education & English, Public Relations and certificates in literary writing skills and screen play writing for films. John Rusimbi is working on his third novel to be published soon.
